Lauren + Alex
Come on a journey with me for this Perry House wedding in Monterey California. As Alex and Lauren share their love over 49ers and each other. The Perry House was the perfect, romantic, venue to welcome their guests with elegant gold details and their touches of red!
Alex + Lauren met through a mutual friend in August 2011. Lauren was supposed to meet a former coworker to go bar-hopping, but she was already pre-gaming over at another friend’s house. Her friend mentioned there was a guy named, Alex there who was so funny and she just had to come meet him. Since that was not part of the original plan, she was less than enthused. Lauren decided to go over there anyways. She met Alex quickly and her and her friend headed downtown. Lauren says while her and her co-worker were at Old Pro, Alex put on the smooth-talking, jokes and compliments. Lauren realized she had to get to know him better! He walked her out to her car that night, asked for her number, and the rest is history.
These two love football, and their Monterey wedding was no different. By having gold and elegancy combined with some red flowers/accents to have a 49ers flair. This Perry House wedding was one that will never be forgotten with all the unique details and true to the couple!

Lauren and Alex expressed how they wanted to go to the nearby cliff area in Monterey to take their couples portraits. Although, the day of was a different story these two will tell forever! It just happened to be mating season for the sea lions, and they come by the thousands to the beach area. However, there’s so many of them they don’t all fit! They were even coming past the fence barrier by trying to squeeze under! And the lion’s barking could be heard from so far away!
The details of this Perry House wedding were incredibly fun! For example, the seating chart was set up like a football season, with the tables being weeks in a season. The teams of each week were the actual teams the 49ers were playing when Lauren and Alex went to each particular game. The 9 games they chose over the past 12 years were in chronological order as well. Week 1 being the first game they went to together 12 years ago. Lauren exclaimed, “We looked like babies!”. Week 9 was the day Lauren and Alex got engaged (and luckily the 49ers won that game :)). As a true bride, Lauren wishes the day would’ve lasted longer!!
The wedding night at the Perry House ended with a fun s’mores bar held outside by the fire oven, where the guests could create their late night snack!
