The Barns Cooper Molera
The Barns Cooper Molera is a historic wedding venue in Monterey, Ca. It once housed horses on the bottom floor and the riders could rent out bedrooms in the top floor. Mr. Cooper was once a sea captain who settled in Monterey. There is so much rich history within these original adobe walls dating back to the late 1800’s! The Barns, has become a beautiful, rustic and historic wedding venue since 2016!
Monterey has some of the best weather making it a popular wedding destination. With the coastal fog keeping the temperature cooler during the summer months, getting a sunny day in the months of September & October is almost guaranteed!
Jordan & Jimmy met in nursing school while attending Monterey Peninsula College and it was almost instant connection with these two! Jordan is Italian and Jimmy’s favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs, while Jimmy is Vietnamese, and Jordan’s favorite food is Vietnamese!
Getting ready at the Barns Cooper Molera
Jordan and Jimmy were like so many of my couples who have their Monterey wedding at The Barns, they wanted to get ready there! The barns has an amazing and large getting ready space allowing for not only epic pictures, but space to spread out with a wedding party!
A Wedding at the Barns Cooper Molera
I love how most couples that get married at this Monterey wedding venue take in all of it’s natural beauty and have simple, elegant wedding accents. The Barns Cooper Molera is a redwood barn made in 1902 by Captain Cooper’s grandson.
The beauty of it is so breathtaking that Jimmy and Jordan’s Monterey wedding just stood out with simple Eucalyptus. Take a look at their gorgeous day! I loved how Jordan chose to use the Eucalyptus to line the Aisle, and as a swag draped in front of the barn doors.

One of the things I love about shooting Monterey weddings at the Barns Cooper Molera is how versatile the space is! Mixing up where your cocktail hour, reception and ceremony happen is so unique with a city venue like this! Jordan and Jimmy had such a fun reception with family and friends. A cocktail hour where mingling happened with beautiful lighting. A dinner under the sting lights and stars. And a dance party in the barn that ended with a classic car getaway!
