Bride and Groom at Monarch Cove Inn Santa Cruz, cheers with champagne.

Setting the scene for this beautiful Monarch Cove Inn Wedding

Monarch Cove Inn is a charming and historic bed-and-breakfast located in Capitola, California, and is the perfect place to hold a wedding. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Monterey Bay. This Victorian-style inn is known for its serene atmosphere, beautiful ocean views, which you will notice with Lee and Aaron wedding.

The Monarch Cove Inn dates back to the late 1800s and retains much of its original Victorian charm, with antique furnishings and period details throughout the property. The grounds are surrounded by well-maintained gardens filled with flowers and mature trees, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment. The inn is located at the end of a neighborhood street, so if you ever get the chance to stay in the area you should check out this bed and breakfast!

Lee + Aaron’s Wedding at Monarch Cove Inn

Lee + Aaron met through mutual friends… both in the wedding party for bride and groom respectively! So, when we all joke about about which groomsman and bridesmaid are going to get together; these two are IT! Lee and Aaron knew on their first date they were meant to be together when they had different approaches to perceiving life but shared values it just ‘clicked’ for these two!

These cuties enjoy cooking food together, triathlons and going on rides. Aaron proposed on the beach after a 100km ride from their home to the coast for a weekend getaway. They went out for dinner and Aaron took Lee for a beach walk afterwards where he popped the question! It was the same place they went on our first date.

Aaron is from the Capitola area and Lee is from Australia. Aaron had moved years earlier to Australia for work, so they decided to have their wedding at the Monarch Cove near Aaron’s home, visit family, and head out to a honeymoon in Mexico. While all of Lee’s family and a couple friends got the chance to travel to the states for the first time to witness their Monarch Cove Wedding!

The Beautiful Monarch Cove Wedding

The gardens at Monarch Cove are the perfect setting for a small wedding. Saying I do, while your guests overlook the ocean is breath taking. Lee and Arrons musicians set a romantic scene for the ceremony and canapés! The wedding was elegant, cozy and warm. Lee says that, “coming down the aisle to Aaron with all our friends and family there was such a feeling of genuine joy and contentment. He looked amazing and so happy, calm and loving towards me. The whole day went so smoothly and I felt deeply grateful for all the wonderful people we have around us and could feel their love.”

Just looks at how beautiful this Monarch Cove Wedding is!
