Worried about a rainy wedding at the Monterey Beach Station:

Every delicate detail was put together perfectly for Janine and Ben’s Monterey beach wedding!  We worried about rain as the weeks leading up to their wedding the coast of California was pounded by one after another atmospheric river.  It started raining on December 26, 2022, and didn’t stop raining until January 12, 2023! It was some of the worst storms the state has seen with back to back rain events, coastal flooding, and mass destruction to coastal towns!

The area saw a total of 37″ of rain in three short weeks.  With their venue sitting right on the coast, Janine was making a phone call to make sure they didn’t have any destruction! Janine and Ben were told everything was fine at the Monterey Beach Station and had a plan B option in case they couldn’t hold the ceremony outside. But come their wedding day it was nothing but beautiful sunshine and the perfect winter chill in the air. 

Getting ready for your wedding doesn’t need to be stressful:

The house buzzed with the best energy as we gathered in their airbnb to start the getting ready part of their day! By using the airbnb, the house was able to hold many moving parts to the morning. This allows for a perfect blend of relaxation and whimsical to take place! In fact the only stressful part of the day was not accounting for the amount of traffic we would sit in to go the few miles from the airbnb to the venue turning 10 min into 30! But it worked out, we got everything done we wanted to accomplish, and celebrated the night with all the wonderful friends and family they had! 

My top 3 favorite things about this Monterey Beach Wedding. 1.) Janine having her dad zip her dress; I freaking cried like a baby! 2.) The amount of florals and stunning bouquet! 3.) The bathtub shot!
