While I shoot most of my weddings in Carmel and Monterey, Ca. I do get a few a year where I adventure to the East Bay, and I always enjoy when I shoot weddings in this area because it’s usually sunny! I do love the fog and cloudy moments in Carmel and Monterey, but it’s nice to change it up, and I got to do that perfectly with Anna and Edwin’s wedding!

Anna + Edwin:

Anna and Edwin joined me as a couple in 2021, and I immediately adored Anna and her fun personality! Everything got underway with her engagement session and planning of their wedding, but soon had to be put on hold, so I was so excited when they came back to me ready to start planning their dream wedding. These two are some of the sweetest humans!

They’ve known each other since high school and always had mutual friends. Connecting a while later through social media, they planned to have their first date at Havana in Walnut Creek. Anna says, “The moment we met each other we instantly clicked and had so much in common. After that, I would say we spent every day together and enjoyed spending time with each other.”

Edwin states that he knew she was the one by the second date! Once he met her family he could instantly see himself around them and create a family with Anais.

Anna decided she wanted to do a first look with her niece before the wedding, since she wasn’t doing one with Edwin. This by far I think was the cutest thing ever!

Anna and Edwin’s ceremony was located at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The gardens there are so beautiful! Their ceremony was filled with special moments of rosary lasso, exchange of coins, readings, unity candle, communion, and a dedication to the Virgin Mary.

After the ceremony concluded everyone headed over to the stunning Poppy Ridge Golf Course for the party part of their day! Anna and Edwin arrived in style with their limo! Their party got started and we had a blast heading out in a golf cart for some husband and wife portraits!

Now, back to Anna and Edwin’s amazing party! These two celebrated the night away in the most fantastic fashion! Anna changed into a beautiful party dress to dance the night away! I loved that she did a bouquet and garter toss! These trends are coming back and I’m here for it!
